On March 9, 2025, the inaugural meeting of the Kurdistan National Assembly (KNA) of North America took place, where the founding members convened. Within this meeting, the founding members proceeded to elect the Executive Committee of the KNA, comprising positions such as the President, Vice President, Communication Committee, and Academic and cultural Committee. Additional committees, such as the Budget Committee, are slated for establishment shortly
. The members of the Executive Committee are detailed as follows:

2. Dr. Rahim Qader Surxi, Vice President,
3. Dr. Ahmad Mohammadpur, Academic and cultural Committee
4. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Administration
5. Mr. Massoud Hashemi, Communication Committee, Canada
6. Mr. Shwan Karim, Communication Committee, USA
7. Mr. Niyaz Hamid, Technology Committee
The Executive Committee is charged with carrying out the KNA's vision until the upcoming first conference, during which the General Assembly will officially endorse the KNA bylaws and elect a new Executive Committee. Subsequently, the Executive Committee made the decision to initiate the process of formalizing the KNA's bylaws. As part of this endeavor, it was agreed upon that the initial focal points should involve engaging with global stakeholders, particularly Western nations, to address the challenges faced by the population of Kurdistan. Additionally, the Executive Committee outlined plans to organize educational initiatives for the promotion of Kurdish language, culture, and history. These activities are intended to be conducted either in-person or virtually, utilizing platforms such as Zoom to accommodate a wide audience.
In alignment with this initiative, the Executive Committee has set the first activity of this nature to take place in the upcoming month of May. More details regarding the theme, timing, and location of the event will be communicated in due course.
